Ripping to new hard drive...

by The_Walrus @ 2008-04-01 - 11:10:29

I used to have a program to copy CDs that was simple, but somehow I have ended up with Windows Media Player on this PC. With, say, rock music, it all ends up sensibly enough, in directories with the artist's name, but with a mixture of Rebetiko from at least five countries, I end up with sub-directories with Greek, German, English, Turkish and other language names...

I now know "Various Artists" in several languages.

If you want to copy Cd's you can't beat Nero, if you want to rip cd's to mp3 you can't beat Audiograbber a free file available here, http://www.tucows.com/preview/193549

Ta, must have a look. I hardly ever copy, except when I know I am going to play one all the time in the car, and think it was a small production run. For example, Mortika. I would hate to lose that if the car was stolen...
