After reading your post, I thought I'd find out about the Skype community myself. I had been thinking about joining for some time, so that's what I've just done. After Googling skype I downloaded the application and followed directions. I typed to a friend, donned a PC headset and then talked to him, the first time ever on skype for me. I noticed that over 7 million other users were also on line! Go for it! My user id for skype is dawn034.
